Indications:

Management of manifestations of psychotic disorders. Control of tics and vocal utterances of Tourette's disorder in children and adults. Treatment of severe behavior problems in children with combative, explosive hyperexcitability, and short-term treatment of children with hyperactivity showing excessive motor activity accompanied by conduct disorders; reserve for children that failed to respond to psychotherapy and medications other than antipsychotics. 

Dosage and Administration:

Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Haloperidol tablets should be swallowed whole with a drink of water.
Do not stop taking the tablets unless told to do so by your doctor.
Your doctor will tell you how much haloperidol to take and for how long.
Drinking alcohol while you are taking haloperidol might make you feel sleepy and less alert. This means you should be careful how much alcohol you drink.
Your doctor will normally give you a low dose to start, and then adjust the dose to suit you. It is very important you take the correct amount.
Your dose of haloperidol will depend on: Your age; What condition you are being treated for; Whether you have problems with your kidneys or liver; Other medicines you are taking. 

Contraindication:

Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients. 
Severe toxic CNS depression or comatose states 
Parkinson's disease 
QT-interval prolongation (Avoid concomitant administration of drugs that prolong QT-interval) Bradycardia 
Lesions of basal ganglia 
Hypokalemia
